Blood Orange Olive Oil Brownies with Strawberry Balsamic Chocolate Ganache


Brownies

1 package of your favorite brownie mix

Blood Orange Olive Oil (equal amount as called for, for oil on the mix)

water and eggs that it calls for on the mix

Ganache

1 c heavy whipping cream

1 bag (12 oz) semi sweet chocolate morsels

Brownie Instructions: Preheat oven as it calls for on your box of brownies. Prepare a baking pan by drizzling a small amount of Blood Orange Olive into the pan and with your fingers, rub it into all the nooks and crannies.

Follow the directions to the brownies except substituting the Blood Orange Olive for the oil it calls for in the mix. Bake as follows. Allow to cool before cutting.

Ganache Instructions: Place heavy whipping cream in a large microwave safe bowl and heat for about 2 minutes. You want the cream to be just boiling. Carefully pour chocolate morsels into cream... it may rise up and bubble and this is ok.Let sit for 5 minutes. Whisk the chocolate and cream until shiny and smooth, about 1 minute. Finally, add the Strawberry Balsamic Vinegar and whisk until combined. Do not add all together as the balsamic could curdle your cream. Pour over cooled brownies and garnish with strawberries if desired.

COOK'S NOTE: Want to spice things up? Try using our Chipotle Olive Oil for the Brownies and Raspberry Balsamic for the Ganache.
